BACKGROUND

Daisy was going to put down when we found out about her. Thus we made a phone call to stop the euthanasia and pulled her out from the pound 2 days after her scheduled date. There was no information on her background. After the rescue, we found blue tattooed letters in her left earlobe, indicating that she is a purebred sapsaree registered Korea Sapsalgae Foundation. Unfortunately the letters were not legible. Thus we could not locate her owner. We think she was on the street for a long time and exposed to aggression from both people and dogs, judging from her extreme fear of people and scars she has at the time of her rescue in Feb 2022.

DAISY IS...

Daisy is a a little shy but lovely gentle girl with a past of abuse. She is very good and kind with people and dogs. She was not tested with cats.

SOCIABILITY WITH PEOPLE

Daisy likes people but a little afraid. She may look into your eyes from a short distance to see if you are angry. She warms up in a matter of minutes once she realizes that you are a good person. She has not been with children or babies but it is hard to imagine her being aggressive with anyone.

SOCIABILITY WITH DOGS AND CATS

Daisy is very sociable with dogs. She approaches to new dogs and initiates playing. She is happy to play the down dog. She gets along with any type of dogs.

Daisy's Stray Dog Notice

Daisy at the foster home in Feb, 2022.

It is clear from her expression that she was very fearful and defensive initially. It took several days of treating her with chicken jerky to win her heart at that time.

Daisy moved to the trainer's in early March, 2022. She was very nervous initially and refused to approach anyone for a while. But in 3 months Daisy has become a very nice friendly dog.

Daisy came back to the foster home on June 11, 2022. The trainer guaranteed that Daisy is more than ready to get adopted. The trainer said Daisy is friendly to people and playful with any kind of dogs, which is true indeed.

---------------

Daisy playing with small dogs. She liked Chippy (a white & brown dog) a lot. Chippy left for SF on June 17th, 2022. She will love to see him again!

Daisy does not retaliate even if Cookie bites her hind legs to get her attention while she plays with Chippy. (Cookies has issues with her sociability with dogs and people. She will go to the trainer's soon).

Daisy plays with Cookie who kept biting her during her play with Chippy.

My dog Bailey is a powerful girl who loves to play but who is also possessive of mom, toys and food. It is obvious that Daisy could see it in Bailey. Still she has no problem in playing with Bailey. Daisy has been back only a few days by then. I think Daisy will be a good friend to Bailey and any other dog, because Daisy does not seem to feel that she has to have an upper hand. I love Daisy.
