삽살개는 어설프고 귀여운 외모를 가진 장모종으로 국보 제 368호로 지정된 자랑스러운 대한의 강아지입니다.
모피 취득과 조선인 민족정기 말살을 목적으로 20세기 초중반 일제에 의하여 거의 다 사살되었던 삽살개는 뜻 있는 학자의 노력에 의하여 30여 마리의 살아님은 삽살개를 통하여 다시 살아났습니다.
이렇게 가까스로 우리 곁으로 돌아온 삽살개가 우리의 방관에 의하여 다시 유기되고 안락사되는 안타까운 현실을 직시하고 삽살개을 유기와 안락사로부터 보호하기 위하여 삽살개 구조 봉사단체인 [같이 삽살개]가 2020년 6월에 만들어졌습니다.
[같이 삽살개]가 구조하는 대부분의 유기견은 삽살개 믹스를 포함한 믹스견입니다.

Sapsaree is a Korean traditional dog breed with goofy personality and long fur. The breed is designated as the National Treasure No 368.
The breed Sapsaree was once almost killed all by Japan empire during colonization era in early to mid 20th century to obtain their fur to prepare the war against Russia and to exterminate the spirit of Korean people. The breed was revived from the remaining 30 or so individuals.
We felt sad to see these dogs, who finally came back to us, to be abandoned and euthanized by our neglect. Thus we formed [with sapsaree] in June, 2020 to protect the breed from abandonment and euthanasia.
Most dogs we rescue are mixed breed, including sapsaree mix.
